This poor animal was the victim of abuse from a 7 yr old girl! He was so badly abused he died a few months after we rescued him.  He had to undergo several surgeries to try to correct the damage this little girl did. Her mother stated she knew something was "wrong" but the little girl was being so quiet.  As best as we can tell, this kitten had suffered the abuse for about 3-4 months, his nails, eyes, ears and so many other places had been picked, cut, and scratched to the point of bleeding and scarring.

In Memory of Joan Caldero

supporter of JCS, and PeeWee's original human mother passed away after a long battle with cancer.
Pee Wee misses her terribly, as do all of us here at JCS. She was an amazing person who left this world long before her time. PeeWee even wrote some words that were read at her mom's memorial service. Her ending line was the way she always signed her letters
